Mae geneteg yn faes cyffrous sy'n symud yn gyflym, yn trawsnewid ein dealltwriaeth o fywyd ac yn ysgogi arloesi ar draws gwyddoniaeth a meddygaeth. O ddiagnosis a thrin clefydau i ddatblygu deunyddiau fferyllol newydd, therapïau personol, peirianneg genynnau, biotechnoleg ac astudio esblygiad, bioamrywiaeth a phathogenau, bellach, geneteg yw sylfaen llawer o ddatblygiadau gwyddonol pwysicaf ein hoes.
Mae ein gradd BSc (Anrh) /MSci (Anrh) mewn Geneteg yn darparu dealltwriaeth fanwl o flociau adeiladu sylfaenol bywyd ar y ddaear. Byddwch yn cael profiad ymarferol o dechnegau a ddefnyddir i ddadansoddi mynegiadau genynnol, rhyngweithiadau protein, strwythur a niwed DNA, a delweddu biofoleciwlaidd a chellol, ochr yn ochr â dulliau cyfrifiadura uwch a ddefnyddir mewn ymchwil geneteg fodern.
Trwy gydol y rhaglen, byddwch yn meithrin sgiliau dadansoddol, datrys problemau a rheoli prosiect cryf, gan ddysgu sut i ddylunio arbrofion a chynllunio rhaglenni ymchwil effeithiol.
Mae'r radd rhyngddisgyblaethol anrhydedd sengl hon, yn tynnu ar fodiwlau a rennir ar draws yr Adran a'r Ysgol yn ehangach, gan roi profiad dysgu eang ac amrywiol i chi. Bydd gennych chi hefyd y cyfle i wella eich datblygiad academaidd a phroffesiynol drwy flwyddyn dramor ryngosodol neu flwyddyn mewn diwydiant.
Pam Geneteg ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe?
Trwy astudio yn Abertawe, byddwch yn dysgu gan staff academaidd sy'n ymgymryd yn weithredol ag ystod eang o ymchwil geneteg sy'n torri tir newydd. Mae eu harbenigedd yn cynnig cymysgedd arbennig o ragoriaeth academaidd ac ymarfer gwyddonol byd go iawn. Ochr yn ochr â'ch astudiaethau ffurfiol, bydd gennych chi'r cyfle i fynd i sgyrsiau ymchwil rheolaidd gan academyddion Prifysgol Abertawe a siaradwyr gwadd o brifysgolion eraill, y diwydiant, y GIG a sefydliadau ymchwil blaenllaw.
Byddwch hefyd yn elwa o fynediad at gyfleusterau ymchwil o'r radd flaenaf yr Ysgol Feddygaeth, sy'n cefnogi astudiaethau moleciwlaidd a chellol uwch. Mae'r rhain yn cynnwys offer dadansoddi DNA a phroteinau, dadansoddwyr delweddau ar gyfrifiadur, a chyfleuster cyfrifiadurol perfformiad uchel pwerus ar gyfer dadansoddi data ar raddfa fawr.
Eich profiad ym maes Geneteg
Trwy gydol eich BSc (Anrh) 3 blynedd, byddwch yn ymgymryd â chymysgedd o fodiwlau gorfodol a dewisol, gan roi'r hyblygrwydd i chi deilwra eich gradd i'ch diddordebau penodol, eich uchelgeisiau o ran gyrfa neu eich cynlluniau ar gyfer astudiaethau pellach.
Bydd cyfle i chi gwblhau Blwyddyn Dramor gyda'n sefydliadau partner, a fydd yn cyfoethogi eich dysgu ac yn cynnig profiad bywyd amhrisiadwy.
Mae'r cwrs hwn hefyd yn cynnig y cyfle i chi dreulio Blwyddyn ym myd Diwydiant, yn y DU neu dramor, gan eich galluogi i gael profiad gwerthfawr yn y gweithle. Mae'r Brifysgol yn ffafrio lleoliadau â thâl yn unig, sydd â chyflog gwerth mwy nag £20,000 ar gyfartaledd. Mae lleoliadau di-dâl yn cael eu hystyried fesul achos.
Mae'r rhaglen hon ar gael hefyd fel MSci 4 blynedd, sef gradd israddedig uwch, gan ychwanegu blwyddyn sy'n canolbwyntio ar ymchwil at eich gradd. Mae ein rhaglen MSci yn arwain at gymhwyster meistr, yn ogystal â'ch gradd israddedig, gan roi i chi hyfforddiant gwyddonol gan arbenigwyr a llwybr at amrywiaeth o yrfaoedd arbenigol.
Pa gymhwyster bynnag rydych chi'n ei ddewis, byddwch yn elwa o arbenigedd ein staff academaidd sy'n weithgar mewn amrywiaeth eang o feysydd ymchwil fiolegol foleciwlaidd, gan gynnig cymysgedd unigryw o ragoriaeth academaidd ac ymarfer arloesol.
Mae blwyddyn sylfaen ddewisol hefyd ar gael. Mae'r Flwyddyn Sylfaen hon yn rhoi cyflwyniad ardderchog i chi i addysg uwch, yn rhoi'r sgiliau, yr hyder a'r wybodaeth y mae eu hangen arnoch chi i fod yn llwyddiannus yn eich gradd israddedig. Mae'n ddelfrydol os bydd angen ychydig mwy o gymorth arnoch chi ar ôl addysg bellach neu os ydych yn dychwelyd i fyd addysg ar ôl seibiant. Ar ôl i chi gwblhau'r Flwyddyn Sylfaen yn llwyddiannus, byddwch chi'n symud ymlaen i Flwyddyn 1 eich gradd BSc (Anrh) / MSci (Anrh).

Egwyddor gyffredinol y rhaglen hon yw hyfforddi gwyddonwyr sydd â'r wybodaeth graidd angenrheidiol a'r sgiliau ymarferol a chyflogadwyedd y bydd eu hangen arnynt i lwyddo yn amgylcheddau byd-eang newidiol y gwyddorau meddygol a bywyd. Felly, bydd pob myfyriwr yn meithrin y sgiliau sylfaenol sydd eu hangen ar bob gwyddonydd biofoleciwlaidd. Mae sgiliau cyflogadwyedd yn thema yn y rhan fwyaf o fodiwlau.
Mae graddedigion gwyddor biofoleciwlaidd yn mynd ymlaen i ystod o gyrchfannau posibl i raddedigion, gan gynnwys:

Yn Abertawe, byddwch yn elwa o addysg o ansawdd uchel, sy'n seiliedig ar
ymchwil, sy'n cyfuno ystod o ddulliau addysgu effeithiol a chynhwysol,
wedi'u teilwra'n ofalus i weddu i anghenion eich cwrs. Addysgir y rhan fwyaf
o gyrsiau wyneb yn wyneb, ar y campws, gan roi'r cyfle i

Gallwch ddisgwyl cymysgedd o

Mentor Academaidd Personol:
Byddwch yn cael Mentor Academaidd a fydd yn un o gronfa o bersonél hyfforddedig sy’n aelodau staff academaidd yr Ysgol Feddygaeth, neu staff clinigol o Fyrddau Iechyd ar gyfer Meddygaeth i Raddedigion a Chydymaith Meddygol.
Y Mentoriaid Academaidd Personol yw eich pwynt cyswllt cyntaf tra’n astudio yn yr Ysgol Feddygaeth a gallant roi cymorth ac arweiniad ar faterion amrywiol a allai effeithio ar eich lles, eich presenoldeb a’ch cynnydd academaidd. Gall Mentoriaid Academaidd Personol hefyd eich helpu wrth gynllunio datblygiad personol a rhoi cyngor ar yrfaoedd. Gall eich mentor hefyd eich cyfeirio at wasanaethau lles a gwasanaeth cymorth eraill fel y bo’n briodol.
Swyddog Bywyd Myfyrwyr:
Mae ein Swyddog Bywyd Myfyrwyr yn canolbwyntio ar gymorth myfyrwyr ac adnabod myfyrwyr a allai fod angen cael eu cyfeirio at wasanaethau tu fewn i’r Brifysgol a thu allan ohoni, a chyd-weithio â’r myfyrwyr hyn i sefydlu cynllun i leoli eu lles. Mae’r swyddog wedi’i hyfforddi i ddelio â materion amrywiol, o adnabod arwyddion cam-drin domestig a throsedd casineb i hiraeth am adref a materion bugeiliol eraill.
I ddysgu mwy am astudio dramor, ewch i'n
tudalennau gwe Go Global. Nid yw cofrestru ar raglen sy'n cynnwys semester/blwyddyn dramor yn
gwarantu lleoliad gwaith semester/blwyddyn dramor yn awtomatig. Mae nifer
gyfyngedig o leoedd ar gael ac yn amodol ar broses ddethol gystadleuol. Os
na fyddwch chi'n llwyddo i ennill lleoliad gwaith semester/blwyddyn dramor,
cewch chi eich trosglwyddo i gwrs safonol eich cynllun gradd heb semester
neu flwyddyn dramor.
Mae rhaglenni rhyngwladol yr haf ar agor i fyfyrwyr o bob ysgol. Fel arfer,
mae rhaglenni'n para o 2 i 6 wythnos, ar draws cyrchfannau megis Sri Lanka,
De Corea, Fiji, Bali, UDA a ledled Ewrop. Am ragor o wybodaeth ynghylch
rhaglenni a chymhwysedd, ewch i'n
tudalennau gwe Haf Dramor.
Argymhellwn eich bod chi'n cyflwyno eich cais am le ar ein cyrsiau mor fuan â phosibl cyn ein dyddiadau cau ar gyfer
cyflwyno cais. Bydd cyrsiau'n cau yn gynharach na'r dyddiadau cau a restrir os caiff yr holl leoedd eu llenwi. Mae
rhagor o wybodaeth ar gael ar ein tudalen we Dyddiadau
cau ar gyfer cyflwyno cais.
Bydd y Brifysgol yn gwneud pob ymdrech i ddarparu pob cwrs yn unol â'r
disgrifiadau a geir yn nhudalennau gwe'r cwrs perthnasol ar adeg eich
cais. Fodd bynnag, gall fod sefyllfaoedd pan fydd yn ddymunol neu'n
angenrheidiol i'r Brifysgol wneud newidiadau yn narpariaeth y cwrs naill
ai cyn neu ar ôl cofrestru.
Mae'r wybodaeth isod ar gyfer myfyrwyr sy'n dechrau eu cyrsiau yn 2016 neu
wedi hynny.
Fel arfer, ni fydd y Brifysgol yn gwneud newidiadau sylweddol iawn i gyrsiau
(er enghraifft, newid teitl y cwrs, ailstrwythuro sylweddol, newid sylweddol
yng nghynnwys y cwrs, neu gyflwyno rhwystr i ddilyniant) a fyddai'n
effeithio ar fyfyrwyr sydd eisoes wedi dechrau eu cwrs. Mewn amgylchiadau
eithriadol, gall fod angen i'r Brifysgol wneud y fath newid ar ôl i ddeiliad
cynnig dderbyn lle. Ni fydd hyn yn digwydd llai na 5 mis cyn cofrestru.
Caiff deiliad y cynnig ei hysbysu am y newid a chyfle i dynnu ei gais yn ôl
a gwneud cais i sefydliad arall.
Gellid gwneud newidiadau eraill yng nghynnwys y cwrs, y lleoliad astudio, y
dulliau cyflwyno a'r ddarpariaeth addysgu oherwydd datblygiadau yn y pwnc
dan sylw, gwelliannau i arfer addysgu neu asesu, gofynion prosesau achredu
allanol, newidiadau staffio, cyfyngiadau o ran adnoddau neu newidiadau o ran
argaeledd cyfleusterau. Bydd newidiadau o'r fath yn ystyried disgwyliadau
rhesymol darpar fyfyrwyr a myfyrwyr presennol.
