This core module is your starting point for the Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or MSc Enhanced Professional Practice. It introduces you to the core principles underpinning work-based learning and supports you in developing advanced skills needed to shape your own personal and professional growth. You will strengthen your academic capabilities at level 7, including critical thinking, evidence informed decision making and reflective analysis. By engaging with real-world practice, postgraduate level study and self-directed independent learning, you will build a strong foundation for the rest of your academic and professional development.

This is a work-based learning module. Students will undertake learning within their employed place of work. Academic supervision is provided at the request of the student – up to 50 minutes per month for the duration of the module. Action learning sets are offered as one 90 minute session per month.
There is a compulsory induction week for this module.
