Managing Wellbeing in Practice
This work-based learning module will be offered as both an optional module on MSc Enhanced Professional Practice Programme, and as a standalone module within the course catalogue. The module structure and assessment will follow that of all modules within the Enhanced Professional Practice Programme.
The module is suitable for health and social care practitioners working in any health or social care setting. It will enable students to critically examine current wellbeing issues in the health and care setting, and to critically analyse how they can manage wellbeing including their own and others¿ (staff, students, patients) in their area of professional practice.

This module aims to give an overview of specialist aspects of nursing practice, especially when care can be considered complex and situations rapidly change. The module also aims to give a greater insight into the application of legal, ethical and professional issues to practice. This module draws on the content of modules within Years 1 and 2 and experiences in practice to consolidate the knowledge, skills and attitude for professional practice in the field of adult nursing.

The aim of this module is to enable nursing students to develop the knowledge and skills to evaluate and advance professional nursing practice. It will help them to identify areas for improvement and help identify any potential limitations within the context of current policy and organisational cultures. The module will enable the student to develop their own potential, advancing their own practice whilst evaluating the impact on self, service users and other professionals.
