About

Matthew’s research explores the political, social and cultural terrains of alternative forms of organising, with a particular focus on the cooperative economy. His work draws heavily on the cultural theorist Stuart Hall, examining questions of conjunctures and common-senses in contemporary (alternative) organisational praxis and the wider spheres of social movement praxis.

He writes regularly for grassroots media, with recent publications in Stir: a magazine for the New Economy, New Internationalist, and Dope magazine.
