About

Emily Bacon is a Senior Lecturer based in the School of Management. She completed her PhD in Business Management in 2020. Emily researches knowledge transfer and collaboration within innovation ecosystems, applying analytical techniques such as fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) to study inter-organisational partnerships. Her findings have been published in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading academic conferences. 

Emily teaches on the Advanced Health and Care Management MSc (Value-Based) which is part of the Welsh Government Intensive Learning Academy (ILA) Programme. She is interested in using case-based learning to help learners apply theory-based principles to practical problems. She has published case studies illustrating the application of value-based health and care principles via The Case Centre. 

Emily holds a PgCert and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments for her students. She is actively seeking PhD students who are interested in exploring inter-organisational relationships across innovation networks, particularly using the technique of fsQCA.
