Key information about Open Days
You will also have an opportunity to explore our teaching facilities, accommodation options, sporting facilities, range of student support services and advice on student finance and financial support.
You will find lots to do at one of our University open days. University open days are an excellent way to meet the staff who will teach you in your chosen subject area and staff will be happy to answer any questions that you would like to ask. Current Swansea University students will also be on hand to give you a valuable student perspective.
Our information fairs include information on student services and support, our students’ union, study abroad opportunities, employability, sports and music. Campus tours are available throughout the day and you can also take sports and accommodation tours.
You may wish to attend more than one subject area and our helpful programme or mobile app can help you plan your day.
Our open days welcome prospective students, and their parents/guardians. You will have the chance to look around our two beautiful campuses at your leisure and there are also structured campus tours which will take in our facilities including our state-of-the-art laboratories and teaching spaces.
Our open days typically start at 8.30am and finish at 4pm but you can just attend the sessions of most interest/relevance to you. Most sessions are repeated throughout the day and you can use the Swansea University Open Day App to plan your day. Printed versions of the programme will be available online and will be provided on the day.
You can explore more than one subject area on the day and subject information stands are available in each of our seven academic colleges.
If you haven’t had the chance to visit yet or would like to visit us again now is your chance! We have adapted our 2020 events to replace traditional visit days, allowing you to explore more of Swansea University.
It is a good idea to attend open days as early as possible so that you can spend plenty of time reviewing your options. These open days are most suitable for students in years 11, 12 and 13 as well as mature students. Open days are suitable for those who have already applied to study and those who are still considering their options.
Remember to bring your digital or printed ticket for the open day which you will use to register on the day. Only one ticket is required per student and families and friends don’t require a ticket to attend the open day.
