You can use Self-Release via UCAS Track if you have accepted a place at another University but have decided you want to come to Swansea.
Do take this decision carefully as you may lose your place at your original university if you decide you’ve made a mistake.

If you apply through UCAS for September 2022 you will automatically be entered into the Clearing process if you don't meet the grades required by your firm and insurance choices, or if you submit your application after 30 June.
If you become eligible to use Clearing an 'Add Clearing choice' button will become available within your UCAS Hub. Alternatively, you can check directly with your firm and insurance choice universities.
For many students, Clearing only becomes available once their results have been released and it transpires that they haven’t met the entry criteria required. A-level results day in 2022 is on Thursday 18 August.
If you haven't got a live UCAS application next summer don’t worry, you will still be able to apply directly to Swansea University. You can call us on 0800 094 9071 from the beginning of July and our team will talk you through the process.

We cannot discuss your son or daughter's application unless you have been nominated on their UCAS form, or have their permission.
However, with that permission, we can advise you directly on accommodation, the kind of support they will have when they arrive here, and general information about the University, Swansea and the surrounding area.
If you are appealing your grades, and we have made you a clearing offer onto a foundation or other alternative course based on your current grades, please note that we may be able to move you onto your preferred course if your new grades match our current entry requirements for that course.
If we receive your new grades before the start of the course, you will be able to start on your preferred course. If we receive them after the start of the course, and before 30 October, we can move you onto your preferred course during term.
Please note that this excludes any commissioned/clinical courses which are funded by Welsh Government.
