About

Kate began working at the School of Management in 2014. Before taking on the role of lecturer, Kate worked in both the private and public sector, conducting market and social research for the Welsh Government and local authorities, as well as small and large businesses.

Her more recent research has explored engagement and emotions in the context of experiential marketing. Specific research interests lie in the marketing of local food, and the development local food trails. At present, Kate is conducting research for Pembrokeshire National Park Authority into events management. In addition, she is conducting research into the evaluation of tourism management plans.

Alongside tourism and marketing research, Kate also has an interest in pedagogy and improving student learning. Her recent research has explored the use of interactive e-books to support learning, and the role of formative assessment to motivate students and improve their performance.

Since joining the School of Management, Kate has taught on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the field of marketing. Her specific teaching interests lie in the field of marketing research and quantitative data analysis methods.
