THESIS TITLE - Italian Translations of the works of PG Wodehouse in the light of the Epistemic Approach
The thesis presents a new approach to translation, the Epistemic Approach, largely based on what is known about an author’s career, culture, style, and language. It supplies tools to describe, analyse and assess translations and retranslations of the same works.
It is here applied to the Italian (re) translations of the works of Anglo-American humourist P.G. Wodehouse (1881-1975) published in Italy between 1928 and 2017.
