Following Government directions, those of our staff who can work remotely are doing so.

The University has suspended all face-to-face teaching delivered via lectures and seminars. Further details and latest updates can be found on our Coronavirus Guidance pages.

The changes to working arrangements have affected some of our processes, in the short-term, as noted below.

What you need to know

Staff ID Cards

Please note: Due to the current working arrangements, new staff need to phone Customer Services to obtain staff ID details. You will need to quote your staff number (from your confirmation letter), and answer some security questions before being provided with further details.

For the purpose of security, all University employees are issued with a Staff ID card. Your card will be issued to you by Library & Information Centre (no.7 on the Singleton Park Campus map, no.5 on the Bay Campus map).

Please report to the Issue Desk in the Library & Information Centre between 10.00 – 12.00 and 14.00 – 16.00 Monday - Friday. You should take your appointment letter and a form of photographic I.D. along with you as means as identification.

To gain Staff Card access to your relevant buildings and car park barriers, please email cardaccess@swansea.ac.uk.

Car Parking and Travel

If you would like to park on campus, you need to obtain a car parking permit from the Estates and Facilities Reception.

You can also speak to the Estates reception to gain more details on obtaining a parking permit, car sharing and staff bus pass schemes.

Pensions

For more information visit our page on Pensions at Swansea University.

Your Swansea University Email Address

Your line manager should arrange for your email address to be set up. If you have any questions about your email address, please speak to your line manager in the first instance. Alternatively, you can speak to the IT Support team online, or via the Library & Information Centre.
