Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will provide strategic leadership for the faculty, ensuring its academic and financial objectives are met, and contributing cross-institutionally as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.  The Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean will be accountable for the faculty’s budget, and be responsible for developing the faculty’s strategy alongside embedding a leadership culture that is inclusive and aligned to the Univeristy’s values and culture.   The PVC Executive Dean will also represent the institution externally and be an ambassador for both the faculty and University.

Strong candidates for the role will bring an established academic reputation in a discipline aligned to the faculty and an outstanding track record of senior leadership at a relevant scale. They will demonstrate the ability to think strategically, deliver change, manage resources effectively, and work with colleagues to drive results and innovation. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills will also be key, as will an alignment with the Univeristy’s values.
