Finding your new home in Swansea

Welcome to Residential Services

We understand that moving to a new country is a big step, that’s why we guarantee accommodation for international students during your first year of study, provided you apply by the annual 30 June deadline (Undergratuate and Postgraduate).

Finding the right accommodation can make a real difference when it comes to settling in and feeling at home. We have several accommodation options available, and our dedicated Residential Services team are on hand to assist you, every step of the way.

Which option is best for me?

Choosing your accommodation depends on a number of factors, such as what course you are studying, the location you would like to live in, and your preference of cooking and living arrangements. Single sex and alcohol-free accommodation is available in all residences, and we have a number of adapted and accessible rooms if required. Please specify if you would like to live in one of these areas on your application.

If you are living overseas, it might be difficult to view residences in person, so we have some helpful virtual tours available. We also recommend you attend any virtual Open Day events where you can ask questions and join talks.

The College: If you will be spending your first year of study at The College, you will live in the Rod Jones Complex on Bay Campus.

Take a look at our residences to find out more about the different accommodation available during your first year of study.

Living Off-Campus

Alternatively, you might decide you would prefer to live off-campus in private sector student houses and flats in Swansea. The University’s letting agency, Student Accommodation Services (SAS) manages over 145 quality properties close to both campuses, as well as local facilities such as shops, bars and restaurants. The SAS team are on hand to support you with queries and your search for the perfect off campus accommodation.

Our online, searchable database, Studentpad, allows you to locate available private housing in the area and takes the effort out of house-hunting.
