About

Michaela has a broad background in litigation specialising in civil and family law including personal injury and both public and private law family work. She currently assists in delivering the Civil Litigation and Probate courses and is responsible for the Family Law and Practice and Child Care Law elective courses

Michaela combines teaching with practice and is an associate solicitor with local firm Smith Llewelyn Partnership. When in practice full time Michaela was involved in establishing the School’s Pro Bono Clinic and has continued to co-ordinate this since joining the LPC team.

Michaela is a Local Conciliation Officer for the SRA and a member of the committee for the Swansea YSG and Swansea Local Law Society. She is a member of The Law Society, Resolutions, APIL and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Michaela also edited the ILEX Manuals for the Level 6 qualifications in 2006.
