Course Overview

Our MSc Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides a comprehensive foundation in the concepts and technologies necessary for developing and applying AI in diverse contexts.

This 16-month course, which starts in January, covers computational principles, methods, and systems applicable to various real-world applications. It emphasises the mathematical foundations, programming skills and critical thinking required for AI.

Throughout the course, you will explore both classic AI topics, such as machine learning, visualisation, optimisation and big data, as well as symbolic AI and contemporary natural language processing and generative AI approaches.

During the summer, you will apply your knowledge of these topics to address a real-world problem through a collaborative project module.

Your Artificial Intelligence Experience

You will be based at the Computational Foundry on our beachfront Bay Campus, the nucleus of a vibrant community for world-class research leaders in computer science and artificial intelligence.
