COMPANY BACKGROUND
Hemp Heros are a Swansea-based company who specialise in creating products which support consumers in the CBD market. They ethically source 100% organic & vegan friendly ingredients from the European Union, undertaking tests in 3rd party laboratories. Hemp Heros are the world’s premier provider of Cannabidiol (CBD & CBDa) products and have a vested interest in uncovering the mechanisms behind the beneficial effects of Cannabidiol’s on disease progression and its ability to modulate pro-and anti-inflammatory factors.
Hemp Heros well-designed and internally manufactured organic products are available for everyday use for both pets and the general public in the UK, European Union and US markets. Their unique cold-press manufacturing process has also ensured production remains in-house and once established will notably contributed to the Welsh economy.
R&D SUPPORT
Developing and understanding the molecular mechanisms and changes in cell morphology from Cannabidiol products has always been a big challenge, especially when it comes to harnessing its advantages and expanding upon product availability.
As a result, a need was identified to seek empirical laboratory research and analysis, utilising the expertise and equipment of HTC to develop and deliver a R&D&I project to develop a knowledge-base and report which Hemp Heros can utilise to inform their marketing, product development, product testing and next phase marketing.
The Accelerate Healthcare Technology Centre has helped to establish a comprehensive literature review and report exploring CBD-derived over-the-counter products and pharmaceuticals. HTC has provided guidance for future market opportunities, alongside placements to aid Hemp Heroes in both expanding and understanding CBD and CBDa products.
HTC is keen to support Hemp Heros in exploring potential grant opportunities to help support their funding and development of a new Wales facility.
