1 Weeks to Go - Enrolment

To start enrolling as a student at Swansea University you will need to login at MyUni to access the intranet:

• Make corrections to your personal details and check your course and entry qualifications.
• Pay tuition fees or provide evidence of sponsorship.
• Agree to the student declarations.

When you arrive, make sure you bring:

• your passport (or the UK/EU photo ID you emailed us) to collect your ID card on the campus where your academic department is based. After picking up your University ID card, the University will confirm your attendance which triggers the first student loan payment. Payment should reach your bank account in 2-3 working days.

Log in at MyUni to access the intranet, your email, Blackboard and other online services.

Your user ID is your student number and your default password is provided in your enrolment email. 

When you log into your University account you will be prompted to change your password.

- You must set a strong password with at least 8 characters that is memorable, but hard to guess.

- Choose a random combination of 3-4 words that are meaningful to you.

- Do not use a single word (e.g. Swansea)

- Do not select a weak password (e.g. containing password or swansea)

- Do not use a commonly used phrase (e.g. letmein)

Once you have changed your password, you will be prompted to provide more information to sign-up to enable you to manage your own password, e.g. if you have forgotten your password or your account has been blocked. To sign-up, you will need to provide additional information to prove it is you, such as a mobile phone number to receive a text, alternative email account or responses to security questions. You may choose to skip set-up to a later time, but will be prompted every time you log into your account until you have registered.

We need to confirm your identity, right to study, fees and funding eligibility:

• Upload a passport and enter details by logging in to MyUni. If you do not have a passport, you can provide alternative forms of ID. Browse the upload your UK/EU passport or other photo ID section below.
• You must bring your passport with you to enrolment as proof of identity (or the alternative photo ID you uploaded/emailed)

If for any reason you cannot enrol online - don't panic! Staff will be available on campus to help and if necessary you can enrol in person.

If you have not arranged a student loan you will have to pay your tuition fees yourself. You will be prompted during online enrolment to either pay the first instalment by card immediately or set up a direct debit and pay your tuition fee later in two instalments (November and January).

If you have external sponsorship and we do not have details of your employer, trust or council and how much they are paying towards your fees, you must send a confirmation of sponsorship form or letter from your sponsor with the equivalent details to:

Student Records Office, Singleton Abbey, Swansea University, SA2 8PP.

Alternatively, you can send a scanned letter to studentfinance@swansea.ac.uk 

Without this information, you may not be able to enrol online.
