Important Considerations

  • For a long stay in Belgium (over 90 days) you might require a type D student visa, depending on your nationality.  
  • For a short stay in Belgium (less than 90 days) you might need a Schengen visa depending on your nationality. Required documents:
    • Passport
    • Insurance
    • Proof of finances for your stay approx. 789 Euros* a month (*based on the 23/24 figures, expect a rise for 24/25)
    • Letter of acceptance from host university 
  • You can apply for a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) but, you might also need additional health insurance. 
  • Accommodation options will vary depending on where you study, you should ensure you submit your housing application by the deadline.
