Students studying together

UCLouvain Saint-Louis is located in Belgium’s capital city, Brussels. Brussels operates as a bilingual city where both French and Dutch (Flemish) are official languages. English has become a common spoken language because of the international institutions based in Brussels, such as the European Commission, the European Parliament and NATO. Summers tend to be cooler than the UK but humid, making it feel warm, and winters cold (but snowfall is rare). Transport services are excellent, particularly with the trains and Eurostar, meaning that Lille, Paris and London can be easily reached from Brussels. Chocolate and waffles are a staple part of the Belgian diet, so it’s ideal for those with a sweet tooth! Saint-Louis boasts of four faculties spanning the spectrum of the human and social sciences and an Institute for European Studies, making it an attractive destination for students. Accommodation is widely available for exchange students, with a variety of rooms available on campus.

It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.
