Overview

We are interested in understanding how individuals respond to environmental change and how this, in turn, drives the structure and distribution of populations and communities, leading to dynamic changes in biodiversity. Our work is not system specific but question-driven, thus we work on contrasting study systems (invertebrates, vertebrates, plants), using experimental, statistical, and simulation modelling approaches. Our questions span different levels of ecological organisation, from the behaviour and traits of individuals to the structure and function of landscapes and ecosystems, and we are equally excited about basic and applied research.
