The University's Texas partnerships allow it to offer students life-changing opportunities to spend time abroad.

Exchange programmes with three top-ranked universities allow students to study abroad for a year or semester for no additional tuition fee. 

Swansea students studying STEM and Business subjects can apply for Swansea-specific scholarships from the British American Foundation of Texas (BAFTX)

Student Exchange

Reciprocal student exchange agreements allow Swansea students to undertake study abroad for a year or semester for no additional tuition fee. 

We currently offer exchanges programmes with the University of Houston, University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University.

Short Programmes

Short programmes in Texas have allowed students to undertake visits of one to six weeks, including:

  • Summer Programme at Baylor College of Medicine
  • Nursing: Inward & outward visits with the University of Houston
  • Social Work: Inward visits from the University of Houston

Students who received Erasmus+ funds to participate in study abroad in Texas told us:
