Annie received her Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bath. She was formerly a Teaching assistant at the University of Bath's School of Management. She taught seminars for both undergraduate and graduate courses, including Introduction to Finance, Accounting for Managers, Fundamentals of Finance, Financial Market: Equity, and Quantitative Methods for Business Students. She is a researcher in corporate finance, corporate governance, banking, and risk management.
