Dr Ines Fürtbauer is a Senior Lecturer at Swansea University specialising in behavioural endocrinology.
Ines is Head of the Behavioural Ecology and Endocrinology Research Lab and member of the Behavioural Ecology and Evolution Research Theme in the Department of Biosciences. She has previously held academic positions at Georg-August-University Göttingen and Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig, and was awarded a DFG Research Fellowship at Swansea.
Ines is an Ethics Reviewer for Animal Behaviour, member of the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) Ethics Committee, is the Department of Biosciences Ethics Committee Representative for Research, and member for external ethics committees.
Ines holds various leadership and administration roles related to Post-Graduate Research (PGR) and research culture. She is member of the College of Science Research Committee (Research Culture Lead), and is the PGR Degrees Admissions Tutor for Biosciences. Ines is also Deputy Programme Director for the MRes Biosciences degree programme and Co-founder & Co-Director of the Swansea University-University of Cape Town Collaborative PhD programme.
