About
Wei Huang is a Research Officer in the Department of Biosciences at Swansea University. At Swansea University, he works closely with Professor Sofia Consuegra to investigate how DNA methylation contributes to phenotypic variation in salmon, mangrove killifish and zebrafish using long-read sequencing technologies.
Before joining Swansea, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, and he obtained PhD in Evolutionary Biology in 2021 from the University of Edinburgh. His research background spans evolutionary genetics, statistical genetics, epigenomics, and bioinformatics.
