What is accounting and finance?

Number crunching. Information Analysis. Data manipulation. These are just some of the facets that Accounting and Finance professionals may specialise in. However, duties encompass far more than the typical financial management of an organisation. The profession is not only imperative to the financial management of an organisation, but too, as the strategic brains behind the day-to-day operations.

You will be taught economic theory blended with mathematical and statistical elements. We will build your analytical tools, knowledge and techniques to prepare you for a career across any industry, with involvement across all aspects of business from macro business trends to supply chains.

What do current students think?

"I love the flexibility of the modules. The first year is the same for all finance students, giving you a grounding for the subject but the variety of modules from Year 2 can really help you specialise in the field you are most interested in. I feel that the course is equipping me with the needed skills and knowledge for the future."
- Natasha Mawera; BSc Finance with a Year in Industry
