Our BSc in Radiotherapy Physics is accredited by the National School of Healthcare and Science and will give you the expert training you need to begin a rewarding and highly skilled career in the healthcare profession as a dosimetrist in radiotherapy physics. 

Many of our academic staff are also practising healthcare scientists, providing an unrivalled combination of scientific rigour and professional expertise.

Job prospects are excellent, with 100% of our Healthcare Science graduates in employment, study and/or other activities such as travelling, 15 months after leaving Swansea University (HESA, 2022).

The NHS starting salary for clinical dosimetrists is around £24,214, rising to £43,772.

There are also many opportunities to work in research, education, management, and the private sector.

On graduation, you will be eligible to apply for membership of the regulatory body, the Register of Clinical Technologists, and enter the workplace as an independent practitioner.
