Using the Request and Collect Service

The library offers a Request & Collect service to provide our students and staff with easy access to many of our items.

Items may be requested online or by contacting the MyUni Library team.

You can request an item online by logging in to your iFind account and searching for the item you require. Once you have found it in the listed results, click on the title to open the full record. If the item is eligible then you will be able to request the item and choose your pickup location.

Note: you must be logged into your iFind account for the Request option to be available on the item record.

Bay and Singleton Park Libraries

Items can be collected at Bay and Singleton Park Libraries during library building opening hours.

You will receive an email when your item is available for collection. This email contains an identifying collection reference code which you will need to find your item on the Request & Collect shelves. The email will also confirm which library your item is available for collection from – please ensure this is the location you expect before travelling to the library. The date that your request expires will be detailed in the email.

Please bring your university ID card and collection reference code with you to the library.

When you have found your requested item on the Request and Collect shelves, you will need to check out the item onto your library account. Self-issue kiosks for checking out items are located next to the Request and Collect shelves.

South Wales Miners' Library

The South Wales Miners’ Library is providing a Request & Collect service on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am - 4pm.

You will receive an email once your item is available for collection. Please come to Reception with your ID Card and collection reference code to collect items and observe the 2 metre social distancing guidelines. During busy periods it may be necessary to queue outside the library to use this service.

You will be able to return items via the Book Return Drop in the library foyer, but this will only be possible during the Request & Collect opening hours.

St David's Park Library

Request and Collect is available at St David's Park Library during Library opening hours.

You will receive an email once your item is available for collection. This email contains an identifying collection reference code which you will need to find your item on the Request & Collect shelves. The email will also confirm which library your item is available for collection from – please ensure this is the location you expect before travelling to the library. The date that your request expires will be detailed in the email.

Please bring your university ID card and collection reference code with you to the library.
