About The Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Commercial Manager to support the growth and development of income-generating activities across Estates and Campus Services at Swansea University.

Working closely with the Head of Commercial Services, the role will support the management of sales, marketing, and business development activities across a diverse portfolio of services, including catering, events and conferencing, sport, retail, partnerships, and hospitality.

The postholder will oversee commercial pipelines, monitor contract performance and support the delivery of strategies that maximise income and make the most of the University’s campus assets. They will also identify new opportunities, develop business cases and work collaboratively with colleagues across the University to grow commercial activity.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape and expand Swansea University’s commercial services while enhancing the experience of students, staff and visitors.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
