About The Role
This is a Fixed Term post until May 2028 working full-time.
Swansea University is seeking an experienced and strategic Programme Manager to lead the next phase of the DATAMIND Trusted Research Environment (TRE), a national platform supporting secure, privacy-preserving mental health research. The role will be based within the Secure eResearch Platform (SeRP) team at Swansea University, a nationally recognised leader in secure data infrastructure supporting large-scale health research. DATAMIND is funded through the Office for Life Sciences Mental Health Goals Programme and is currently funded until March 2030, providing a strong platform for sustained programme development.
Reporting to Professor Ann John and based at the Singleton Campus in a hybrid role, you will provide both strategic direction and operational leadership for the TRE. Working across academic, technical, clinical and policy communities, you will manage a small core team and collaborate closely with wider partners to deliver a high-performing, trusted service.
This role sits at the intersection of research, digital infrastructure and public good. You will shape the long-term vision for the platform while ensuring strong governance, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance. You will also develop sustainable service models, oversee information security standards, and support the continued growth and national reputation of DATAMIND.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a nationally significant research infrastructure within a research-intensive university, and to make a meaningful contribution to improving the understanding, prevention and treatment of mental health conditions
