About The Role
This is a very rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with a range of colleagues and stakeholders to deliver quality administrative support. The ideal candidate will be used to working in a dynamic way and will be able to work on a variety of competing tasks throughout the working day. This is a great opportunity for a graduate looking for a first step in their career, with training and further opportunities being made available, as well as for those who are already experienced administrators looking for a change in environment.
The main purpose of this post is to provide administrative support to academic colleagues within the School, being the liaison to facilitate between academic colleagues and professional service teams such as Finance and HR. The postholder will also work with the Executive Assistants to support Heads of School with diary and correspondence management, the day-to-day office activity, as well as providing support for other academic staff within the Faculty to ensure smooth running of all operations.
The postholder will be educated to GCSE level or have equivalent experience as an Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and have strong interpersonal skills, to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, exceptional written and proofreading skills to take accurate minutes, excellent organisational skills to provide intuitive administrative and operational support, to organise and schedule meetings and events as well as arranging travel and accommodation.

Welsh Language Skills
The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
