Resources to help us understand the experiences of four Welsh soldiers in the First World War

In early 2013 students at Swansea University were involved in a project to share material related to Welsh soldiers in the First World War that was held in family collections. Over 250 items were scanned and formatted, and the original material is to be safeguarded and shared  via the People’s Collection Wales website.

Below are documents that examine the stories of the four soldiers whose letters, photographs and diaries were shared. These analyses aim to give the reader a clearer picture of the novel experiences that these individuals went through and how they reacted to the difficult circumstances that they faced.
