How to apply

Before you start your application, please ensure you have completed the following steps and have the correct documentation & evidence ready to upload:

1. CHECK ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Please check the academic entry requirements on the webpage for your chosen course.  If you hold a non-UK qualification, you can review the qualifications we accept and the equivalent grades by checking our country specific guidance.

2. TRANSCRIPTS & EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES

You will be asked to include copies of the qualifications you list on your application – if you do not upload your transcripts and/or certificates, your application will be delayed.

3. CHECK ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Language requirements are stated on the webpage for your chosen course.  All students applying to Swansea University must demonstrate they have a sufficient level of language ability to study their chosen course.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Please ensure you submit your application by the published deadline.

NOTE – if you do not meet the above requirements your application will not be considered.

CAS REQUIREMENTS

  • Obtaining your CAS

International students applying for a Student Route Visa will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement, issued by the University.

After you have been made an offer to study with Swansea University, you will receive an invite to access our ‘CAS Shield’ online self-service system.  All information requested for your CAS application should be uploaded to the CAS Shield system.  The information required will depend on your personal circumstances.  Please ensure you respond promptly to help us process your CAS in good time for your visa application and arrival in Swansea before the start of your course.

  • Deposit deadlines

After receiving and accepting an offer to study with Swansea University, all self-funded International students are required to pay a deposit of £4,000 which goes towards your course tuition fees. Please ensure your deposit payment has cleared by the published deadline.  We strongly recommend you pay your deposit as early as possible to avoid potential CAS and Visa delays.
