About

Dr Timothy Davies' interests range from radio frequency circuits in previous employment and early career, through microprocessor applications and image processing.

Practical work has always been at the centre of his teaching, and at the time of writing he is involved with five laboratory modules in the Department of Engineering. This includes the very successful Group Design exercise for second year Electrical students, which involves small teams of students designing and building small, two-wheeled robots which are programmed to fulfil a number of set tasks.

Dr Davies is a licensed Radio Amateur and currently hold the university club callsign, GW3UWS.

In addition he supervises third year projects as part of the module EG-353.

Currently he is the year tutor for second year Electronic and Electrical Engineering students.
