I dream of making sustainable and ubiquitous physical interfaces for creating novel experiences. My work has created ingenious visual and tactile interfaces using fog, fabric, electric-spark and liquid-metal to enable unique human-computer interaction. Hopefully, someday many people will benefit from my work.
This module introduces students to the fundamentals of robotics. Students will demonstrate their ability to solve problems while developing their programming skills by completing a series of robotics-based lab tasks.
This module encourages students to explore the advanced literature and research results underpinning the field of interaction technologies and ubiquitous user-interface development. Students are expected to achieve a clear view of the `cutting edge¿ and issues in the field.
The FIT MRes research project provides students with the opportunity of exploring a particular topic in interaction technologies. The project will typically involve the development of an interactive system: specification, design, implementatation, testing, verification and evaluation. The project will enhance the students' competence in design, analysis, reasoning, experiments and evaluation. It will give students an intellectual challenge to their abilities to learn new subjects and to develop their abilities in literature searching, report writing, verbal presentation, project planning and time management.
