I recently joined Swansea University from the University of Portsmouth, and have been a lecturer of sport and exercise psychology for over 15 years. I have completed a PhD that examined choking under pressure in elite golf, a MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Exeter University, and a BSc (hons) in Sport Science and PE from Loughborough University.

I am also a BPS Chartered Psychologist, a BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist, and am currently on the Editorial Board for The Sport Psychologist. My research interests and applied work focuses on performance psychology, and in particular, the alleviation of choking under pressure. Accordingly, I offer psychological support to elite and amateur athletes within a broad range of sports (e.g, hockey, equestrian, snooker, rugby, rugby union refereeing, & swimming) though I predominantly work with professional and elite golfers within Wales and the South West region.

I am currently the lead on the applied sport psychology module on the undergraduate sport and exercise science programme, and supervise a number of MSc and PhD research students within the sport and exercise psychology subject area.
