Our Research Interests and Expertise
- Expertise in the development of biological, chemical, electrical, optical, and mechanical sensors.
- Develop novel sensors for a wide variety of applications, such as medical, environmental, internet of things (IoT), manufacturing, defence, agriculture, automotive and aviation etc.
- Design and develop highly sensitive and selective sensors based on novel material systems, such as nanomaterials, metal oxides, MXenes, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) and organic-inorganic composite etc.
- Develop scaling-up technologies to mass produce sensors at relatively low cost.
- Application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in data analytics.

- Metal oxide gas sensors for environment and health monitoring.
- Chemical sensor based on organic-inorganic composite for food safety monitoring.
- Low-cost electrochemical sensors upcycled from food waste for in-situ monitoring of emerging micropollutants in water.
