Why Education at Swansea?

Designed to promote individual and collaborative research activity of international standard, SUSE provides a supportive environment for postgraduate research and taught masters study.

Postgraduate training is available to enhance academic and professional development, as well as seminar programmes, workshops and international conferences.

Your Education Experience

You will study a set number of core and optional 20-credit modules, before undertaking a 60-credit dissertation project of your choosing in the second part of the course.

Varied modules include Research Methods in Education, Additional Learning Needs, Digital Education and Practice, Leading and Managing in Education, Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment and Education and Inequality.

Education Employment Opportunities

If you working as a teacher, lecturer, educational leader, manager, or aspiring to a career in education, the MA will give you an insight into the latest trends and leading research, and how those impact on policy and practice.

The educational landscape in Wales is evolving rapidly and the policy changes taking place will impact significantly on the knowledge and skills required of the teaching workforce. The classroom environment, whether in Wales or elsewhere in the world, is complex and constantly evolving, and teaching therefore requires mastery of a complex set of skills to guide, motivate and facilitate learning.
