Ffion Davies

Ffion Davies from Neath College 2019/2020 Scholarship winner

"Whilst I was a little nervous sitting the Scholarship exam, I came away reassured having experienced some of the work I'd be focusing on in my first year. The results gave me a confidence boost and certainly helped the transition from college to university life. Receiving the bursary was a real honour, has been a significant help financially and made me realise 'you get out what you put it'. I'd like to thank all at Swansea University Maths Department for an amazing first year, I can't wait for next year to begin.”

“Winning the maths scholarship gave me a good confidence boost ready to start university lectures. It also gave me an insight into the sort of topics we would be covering. It was pleasing to gain recognition from the university and receive a financial reward to help kickstart my experience in Swansea!”
