About our Departmental Scholarships

The Mathematics Department of Swansea University offers Mathematics prizes/scholarships worth up to a total of £3000 for students starting their university studies in September 2020. The prizes will be awarded on the basis of a competitive two and a half hour examination which will take place on 26 February 2020. Students should be able to sit the exam in their school or college. If you would like to take the exam, you will need to make Mathematics at Swansea one of your UCAS selections.

These scholarships can be used in conjunction with our Excellence and Merit scholarships, meaning that you could get up to £6000 in total (see below).

If you are interested in taking the scholarship exam, then you should complete and return a Maths Scholarship Application Form to this address:

Department of Mathematics,
The Computational Foundry,
Swansea University Bay Campus,
Fabian Way,

“Winning the maths scholarship gave me a good confidence boost ready to start university lectures. It also gave me an insight into the sort of topics we would be covering. It was pleasing to gain recognition from the university and receive a financial reward to help kickstart my experience in Swansea!”
