Gard Representatives with our LLM students and Professor Soyer
The LLM programmes at Swansea University continue to enjoy an outstanding reputation in the market, consistently attracting the attention of leading employers who recognise the exceptional quality and potential of our students.
This year, Gard, the world’s leading marine and energy insurer, offered two highly sought-after internship opportunities exclusively for our students. As part of this exciting collaboration, Ms Monica Kohli (Senior Lawyer) and Ms Elizabeth Joseph (Senior Executive, Industry Liaison) visited us in early May to conduct interviews for these prestigious positions and to engage with our students on the evolving energy and insurance markets, as well as the vital work carried out by Gard in these sectors.
Following a robust and competitive interview process, two students from our LLM cohort have successfully secured summer internships with the Club in their London offices. This is a tremendous achievement and a truly exciting opportunity for our students to gain invaluable first-hand insight into international insurance practice and the dynamic world of marine and energy law.
We are immensely grateful to Gard for creating these opportunities for our students and to Monica and Elizabeth for so generously giving their time, sharing their expertise, and supporting the professional development of the next generation of legal professionals.
