Areas of Law Research

The academic expertise in the School is wide-ranging and we invite applications in the following areas of Law:

  • Common law, contract law and commercial law 
  • Maritime law
  • Oil and gas law        
  • Public law across domestic, regional and international levels including: administrative law; medical law; children’s rights; constitutional law; devolution; economic law; environmental law; medical law and bioethics
  • Criminal law and the law relating to terrorism, cyber terrorism and counter terrorism

Joint research programmes

The Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law also has PhD students who are currently engaged in joint degrees with Leiden University in The Netherlands, and with Université Grenoble-Alpes.
