About The Role

This is a Fixed Term position until 31st May 2028

The Swansea Oxysterol Group lead the MRC-funded Lipidomics and Metabolomics for Rare Disease Diagnosis node, part of UK Rare Disease Research Platform. We are looking for an experienced mass spectrometrist with a background in rare disease research to join us as project manager and senior research officer. We collaborate widely with clinicians and industry. You will work with project leads and be responsible for day-to-day project operation and sample analysis. Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
