Vigo is the largest city in Galicia, North West Spain and home to Universidad de Vigo. It is set in a beautiful, natural environment that is rich in culture. Being only 3 hours away from Porto, Portugal, and a stone’s throw away from Santiago de Compostela, Madrid and Bilbao by train it is ideally located for travelling around Spain and experiencing all of the cultures Spain has to offer. There are a range of accommodation options available, including university residences and private accommodation off campus. It is recommended that Biosciences students going on exchange have a language level B2 in Spanish, as the main language of instruction is Spanish.
It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.
