Students studying together

The University is centrally located in Krakow Poland which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is just under 2 hours from the Slovakian border to the south and the Czech border to the west. Winters in Krakow can be very cold with temperatures below freezing with summers much warmer. Jagiellonian is the oldest University’s in Poland and one of the oldest universities in the world. The university has an active Erasmus Student network that organises lots of events during the year so there is plenty to get involved with. Students are able to live in halls of residences but a place in one of these can’t be guaranteed and students may have to look at private accommodation.

Important Considerations

  • Accommodation is available but limited and you wil need to apply as soon as you have been accepted.
  • All students must have health insurance for the duration of stay in Poland.
  • JU estimate the monthly cost of living to be approx 450 - 550 Euros a month, based on accommodation in student residence. Expect a rise for 24/25.
