Students studying together

Austria's capital, Vienna, is the largest city in Austria with a population of more than 1.7 million and is Austria's cultural, economic, and political centre. You can expect warm summers and cold winters in Vienna due to it’s continental climate, and you won’t be short of things to see and do! Vienna has a lively music scene, and is famous for it’s coffee culture and Christmas markets. Being a well-connected city, great transport links give you the opportunity to explore other European countries; Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia to name a few. One of the biggest universities in Europe, it is associated with 15 Nobel Prize winners and has been the academic home to a large number of figures both of historical and academic importance. On campus accommodation isn’t available, so students are encouraged to start searching for accommodation as early as possible.
