The first few weeks of term are all about settling in and working out what opportunities there are for you. Whatever your interests or experience levels, there are lots of ways to get involved and give sport a go during Welcome.

From trials and tasters to Get ACTIVE events and activities, through this page you can explore what's going on across Swansea University Sport.

We're getting ready to welcome our new students to Swansea University Sport. Our team is busy preparing everything you need for Arrivals, Freshers, club trials and taster sessions. Keep checking back here over the coming weeks, as we'll be adding all the information you'll need to get involved and Be Part of It.

Sports Clubs Trials & Tasters

During the first few weeks of term, many clubs offer taster sessions for those interested in giving a new sport a go, alongside trials for students who would like to be considered for one of the club's BUCS teams.

Visit the Swansea University Student's Union Sports events page to browse the latest trials and taster sessions. Each club will advertise their own events, so you can you sign up for the session you'd like to attend and start your sporting journey at Swansea University.

Get ACTIVE

During Arrivals, Freshers and throughout the first term, the Get ACTIVE team will be running a variety of sessions across campus. Keep an eye out for the team during welcome events, and visit the Get ACTIVE webpages to discover what's on and find activities that interest you.

Freshers' Fair

One of the highlights of the week is Freshers' Fair, taking place on 23 and 24 September at Bay Campus. Every sports club will have its own stand, giving you the opportunity to meet current student members, learn more about each club, ask questions and discover the wide range of sporting opportunities available at Swansea University.

If you've already found a club you're interested in, Freshers' Fayre is also the place to purchase your sports membership, sign up to a club, register for trials and taster sessions, and find out what happens next. You can also meet the Get ACTIVE team and register for free to take part in their programme of fun, social and inclusive activities.
