In the academic year of 2019-20, the global law firm Kennedys launched a new Prize for LLM students at Swansea University; ‘Kennedys Prize in Marine Insurance Law’, to recognise and celebrate the success of our top performer in the Marine Insurance Law module. Kennedys global marine insurance practice acts for Lloyd’s syndicates, and marine insurers and reinsurers throughout Europe, The Middle East, Asia Pacific, The Americas and Bermuda.
The inaugural Kennedys Prize was awarded to Mr Filippos Alexandrakis by Mr Michael Biltoo, a partner of the firm and Swansea graduate. Speaking at the award ceremony conducted via Zoom, Mr Biltoo congratulated Filippos and indicated that his firm was delighted to provide an incentive and award to promising lawyers of the future. He also expressed the wish to develop Kennedys co-operation with Swansea Law School further in the future.
Filippos is a graduate of the Law School of Athens and is on course to complete our LLM in International Maritime Law with distinction.
