Alexis Covet
Prepared International is an international organisation of experts in the field of disasters. The organisation works with public bodies, non-governmental organisations and private donors in order to reduce disasters' impact and improve resilience against them.
They are currently developing work projects on ‘ports and harbour resilience’ and ‘ship evacuation’ for the port of Hamburg, and Alex was chosen as an intern to provide assistance on the work of the organisation. With regard to his internship opportunity, Alex commented:
"Working within this organisation is a challenging yet rewarding experience. I have acquired several technical and practical skills, and I am ever grateful to Swansea (IISTL) and especially to our dedicated teaching team for making that happen. I am delighted that I chose to come to Swansea for my LLM degree."
