Maria-Isavela Fytrou
The American P&I Club offered a three month internship opportunity to one of our students, Maria-Isavela Fytrou (1 month in London and 2 months in their Greek offices) during the summer.
Maria-Isavela found the working environment at the Club to be very friendly and professional. During her time at the Club, along with administrative tasks, she undertook legal research for the team working on cases involving cargo damage, repatriation and injury of the crew.
Speaking afterwards, Maria-Isavela stressed that the internship opportunity offered her a great experience on how a first-class marine insurer functions, as well as the shipping industry in general, and priceless guidance on what skills are needed in order to become a successful maritime lawyer.
