The Thrive, Nepal and Sri Lanka Bursaries are available to new international, self‑funding students enrolling on a taught course. Eligibility is based on your country of domicile, and full details — including the list of eligible countries and all bursary conditions — are outlined in the Terms and Conditions below.
These bursaries are awarded automatically. No separate application is required as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.
Applications for September 2026 entry will open at 12:00 GMT on the 2nd March 2026.
Each year we have a number of International Excellence Scholarships available for students who have already demonstrated academic excellence or show potential to do so during their time at Swansea University.
Scholarships are awarded as a discount on tuition fees and worth up to £7,000*. Full terms and conditions will be available on the relevant form when applications open.
*Up to £5,000 awarded in Year 1, and further £2,000 awarded in Year 2 subject to achieving a 70% average (for £5,000 awardees only).
