Welcome to Swansea!

Each year Swansea University welcomes a small number of students from Vietnam. We look forward to more students joining our friendly community.

We are a dual campus University, both are set on seafront locations, close to the city centre with a good balance of student life and study environment.

Swansea has a low cost of living, we are rated in the UK Top 10 for the most affordable University Towns (Totallymoney.com) and a UK Top 6 Safest City (Complete University Guide, 2020).

Swansea is ranked in the UK Top 15 for Graduate prospects (Complete University Guide 2021) and has a dedicated Employability Academy which provides advice and access to jobs and work experience placements for our students and graduates.

Information for Vietnamese students

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate Programmes

Candidates are expected to have successfully completed a recognised Foundation Programme, with a minimum pass rate of 60% - 75%; with IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each part of the test (or equivalent).

Postgraduate Programmes

Successful completion of a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division CGPA 7.0 | Master's CGPA 6.5 with IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each part of the test (or equivalent).

Engineering Foundation Programme

Candidates are expected to have achieved Upper secondary school graduation certificate (5 or above is between GCSE and A' level standard) with IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each part of the test (or equivalent).

Swansea University International Scholarships

Swansea University offers a range of international scholarships to help the most talented and ambitious students to reach their potential. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, you must have submitted an application to study at Swansea University as you will need your student number to complete the scholarship form.

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, it is advised that you should apply to Swansea University as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays.

When preparing to study abroad applying for and getting your Visa can be stressful. That is why we have comprehensive visa advice pages , covering information from what type of visa you need, how to apply, bringing family or working during your studies.

How to Apply

You can submit an application form using our online system. You will be required to send us your transcripts, English language certificates and a personal statement.

We have a carefully selected number of agents representing Swansea University who can support you with your application for study, accommodation and the UK visa.
