Go Global at California State

The California State University system (Cal State) is made up of 23 campuses located throughout California with Humboldt State in the North and San Diego State University in the South. This means you can choose to study somewhere with a big city feel or a small town feel and everything in between. With the state holding some of the major National Parks such as Yosemite, Death Valley and Joshua Tree there’s plenty to see and do when you are not studying. On campus accommodation is limited at institutions within Cal State so it’s worth researching your options carefully and being prepared to look off campus for somewhere to live.

The CSU is home to students from the top third of the state's high school graduates and is California's primary undergraduate teaching institution. CSU strives to create a welcoming environment for all members of the campus communities. This commitment is evident in its students who make up the most ethnically, economically and academically diverse student body in the USA.

It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.

• When you apply to study on exchange at CSU, through the Go Global Team, your application is initially processed by the central CSU International Programs Office located in Long Beach.
• You must select 4 campuses as part of the application- guidelines on selecting can be found here. Your campus preference will be considered but you must be flexible
• The financial evidence you have to provide to study at a particular campus varies.  Details of the amounts and other costs can be found here.
• Certain subject areas will be referred to as 'impacted' - this means they are full and are closed to exchange students. Details will be provided in the Campus Selection Guidelines each academic year. Other subject areas may be restricted or limited.
• Prior to receiving confirmation of your campus, you must direct all queries to the Go Global Team at Swansea only
• You will work on your application with the Go Global Team, who will check your documents before forwarding to CSU on your behalf
• On-campus accommodation may be limited depending on your campus choice
